Typically there are two types of these wheels: Flat-Edge and ”bullnosing” or shaping. Flat Edge Wheels are used exclusively to put a straight polish onto a piece of stone – at any angle. Shaping wheels are used to put a radius edge on the stone. Machines typically associated with edge polishing Wheels – 100mm: Single head edge polishers; Park Pro Edge, Denver Quasar. For 130mm and 150mm: Multiple head polishing machines; Comandulli, Marmomeccanica, Montresor, Park, Denver, Sasso, Loffler, and others. Edge/Shaping and Surfacing products are available in all 3 materials: Diamlox, a resin/diamond combination, Resipox, with its unique resin material which provides outstanding life and Velox, a silicon carbide with resin binder.
